My mom (the quintessential bird-lover) would have me shot if we hadn't captured some pictures of the birds in the Galapagos Islands.  They were truly beautiful.

 

My favorites were the boobies, who, besides the fact that you could run around screaming 'booby' all day and not get into trouble, had amazing blue feet.  Maybe the eat Smurfs... who knows.
