We actually went to the zoo twice, once with Laurie's folks and once with John a few weeks later.  We took lots of pictures, but only four were deemed worthy of posting...  so, without further ado... I'm not sure if they were playing Barry White right before we showed up for the second visit, or what, but there was quite a bit of hanky panky going on in several of the cages.  I gotta tell ya, it's something else to see two 300 pound lions doing the dance of love from 10 feet away.

One male tapir must have been dreaming of a particularly attractive girl tapir... scratch that thought...  I won't tell you how we came to that conclusion.  Let's just say that Laurie wanted to take pictures, but, fortunately we didn't have a wide angle lens sufficient for the task. 

Yeah... Tapirs...  who woulda thunk it?  All we could say was...  "Bravo!"
